Parisian apartment
In a Haussmann apartment on the Right Bank, an artwork chosen to give the dining room its presence, and the home a signature.

An artwork
to live with.
Mouldings, parquet floors, tall windows onto stone façades: the apartment already had a strong architecture. The owners wanted a work that would converse with this setting without freezing it, a piece to look at every day that sets the tone of the reception room.
We started by listening: their taste, the way they entertain, how the light moves through the room during the day. A tight selection of artists and works was then presented to them, in the studio and in the apartment, with life-size simulations.
The choice fell on a generously sized figurative painting: a neck, a chignon, a tied ribbon. An image both intimate and graphic, whose warm skin and honey tones echo the wooden table and the golden afternoon light. Framed to measure, it was hung above a sideboard, between two alabaster sconces, together with the interior designer.
As with every private commission, the process remained discreet, from the first visit to the hanging.
