Accor
Phantom

Beneath the stands of the Accor Arena, a former storage space turned into one of Paris’s major clubs. Moon Above led its art direction and storytelling.

The hidden place
of the Accor Arena.

Opened in March 2023 in Paris Bercy, Phantom occupies a space the public never saw: 1,400 m² beneath the stands of the Accor Arena, with almost 9 metres of ceiling height and room for around 3,400 people. The club extends the arena’s concert nights and hosts electronic music programming on other evenings.

Above the dance floor, a vast system of articulated mirrors and light lines unfolds and folds back. Reflections of silhouettes and beams create the feeling of a limitless space: the room changes its face as the night goes on.

For this venue, Moon Above worked on the art direction and storytelling: giving an identity to a space born backstage at a legendary arena, and a story that connects architecture, light and the audience’s experience.
