A private view or performance can bring clients, journalists and creators together. The marketing team should also plan what remains afterwards: images, interviews and reusable content.
Write the capture brief before the event
Production needs the required formats before cameras are installed. Campaign imagery, an artist interview and social content need different coverage. The brief should list the moments, contributors, formats and delivery dates.
Plan three communication stages
- Before: announce the concept, introduce the artist and invite relevant audiences.
- During: document the creation, experience and encounters.
- After: publish content, share photographs and support press coverage.
Measure for the objective
For a venue introduction, visits and booking enquiries may matter. For a launch, coverage, traffic to the product page or sales may be tracked when the setup allows it. Attendance is one indicator, not an answer to every question.
An event and a content campaign can share the same idea and budget. Developing them together helps deliver the right formats and extend the communication, rather than adding capture at the last minute.
